Ways to SHINE a Little SunSHINE!

Simple ways to help someone feel a little less lonely - and help yourself feel good too!

1. Just Reach Out

Call, text, or stop by. A quick “Hi, how are you?” can make someone’s whole day brighter.

2. Do Something Kind

Bring a favorite snack, help with an errand, or lend a hand. Small acts = big smiles.

3. Spend a Little Time

Take a walk, share a meal, or just sit and chat. Time together builds connections.

4. Send Some Cheer

Mail a note, card, or photo. A cheerful surprise in the mailbox goes a long way.

5. Invite Them In

Ask them to join you for coffee, a game night, or a local event. Being included feels good.

6. Really Listen

Sometimes people just need someone who cares enough to listen. Be that person.

7. Share a Laugh

Tell a funny story or share something that made you smile. Laughter brings light.

8. Move Together

Take a walk, stretch, or dance a little! Moving together boosts mood and health.

9. Try Something New Together

Learn a craft, start a puzzle, or cook a new recipe. Shared experiences bring joy.

10. Keep It Going

Don’t let one visit be the last! Keep checking in – your sunshine can make a lasting impact.
